Some of the above subject vehicles may experience wind noise generated from the roof luggage rack at various road speeds. The wind noise can result from air flow vibrating against the luggage rack cross rails.
To reduce the wind noise, it is necessary to reposition the cross rails as follows: (Refer to Figure 1).
1. Position the front cross rail directly over the forward-most set of center supports.
2. Position the rear cross rail directly over the second set of center supports.
3. The blunt end of the metal cross rail and the blunt end of the rubber insert should be positioned toward the front of the vehicle.

WHEN INSTALLING NEW LUGGAGE RACKS, CROSS RAILS SHOULD BE POSITIONED AS INSTRUCTED IN THIS BULLETIN.
