Refer to Figs. 17 through 19, for views of water pump and bolt location.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain coolant from radiator.
3. Remove upper fan shroud.
4. Remove fan assembly from engine.
5. Lower radiator and heater hose from the water pump.
6. On 7.4L/V8-454 engine, remove bypass hose.
7. On all models, remove water pump attaching bolts and water pump.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten water pump attaching bolts to specifications.
