Service Procedure
NOTICE:When fasteners are removed, always reinstall them at the same location from which they were removed. If a fastener needs to be replaced, use the correct part number fastener for that application. If the correct part number fastener is not available, a fastener of equal size and strength (or stronger) may be used. The correct torque value must be used when installing fasteners that require it. If the above conditions are not followed, parts or system damage could result.
1. Remove rear seat mounting cover screws (Figure 1, Item 4) and base covers (Figure 1, Item 2).
2. Remove seat retaining nuts (Figure 1, Items 1 and 3).
3. Remove seat from vehicle.
4. Remove retaining nuts (Figure 2, Item 2).
5. Remove buckle assembly (Figure 2, Item 2).
6. Install new buckle assembly (Figure 2, Item 2).
7. Install retaining nuts (Figure 2, Item 1) on buckle assembly. Torque nuts to 38 Nm (28 ft.lbs.)
8. Install seat in the vehicle.
9. Install seat retaining nuts (Figure 1, Items 1 and 3). Torque nuts to 32 Nm (24 ft.lbs.)
10. Install base covers (Figure 1, Item 2) and screws (Figure 1, Item 4).
11. Install the GM Campaign Identification Label.
