Ignition Lock Cylinder








REMOVAL

^ Place the lock cylinder in the "Run" position.

1. Steering wheel.
2. Turn signal switch.
^ It is not necessary to completely remove the turn signal switch from the column. Pull the switch rearward far enough to slip it over the end of the shift. Do not pull the harness out of the column.
3. Retaining screw and the lock cylinder set.

Important
^ If the retaining screw is dropped on removal, it could fall into the column, requiring a complete disassembly to retrieve the screw.

INSTALLATION

1. Lock cylinder set.
^ Align the cylinder key with the keyway on the housing. Rotate as shown in the figure.
^ Push the lock all the way in.
2. Retaining screw
Tighten
^ Screw to 2.5 N.m (22 in lbs.).
3. Turn signal switch
4. Steering wheel.
