SUBJECT: REAR AXLE RING AND PINION ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

MODELS: 1991 M/L VANS


Rear axle ring gear and pinion sets for 1991 M/L vans are system balanced as an assembly. The assembly is balanced as a unit with the pinion flange weighted as a harmonic member. When axle repairs dictate that a new ring and pinion gear set be installed, a new pinion flange must


also be used. Discard the original pinion flange and install service flange P/N 26006975 now available through GMSPO.
