Vehicle Damage Warnings

^ Thoroughly clean the reservoir cover before removal to avoid getting dirt into reservoirs.

^ Use Delco Supreme No. 11 Hydraulic Brake Fluid or equivalent. Fluid must be "DOT 3."

^ Do not use fluid which contains a petroleum base. Do not use a container which has been used for petroleum based fluids or a container which is wet with water. Petroleum based fluids will cause swelling and distortion of rubber parts in the hydraulic brake system and water will mix with brake fluid, lowering the fluid boiling point. Keep all fluid containers capped to prevent contamination.

^ Improper brake fluid, mineral oil or water in the fluid may cause the brake fluid to boil or the rubber components in the hydraulic system to deteriorate.

^ Do not use DOT. 5 (silicone) brake fluid. SYSTEM DAMAGE MAY RESULT!

^ Brake fluid will damage paint and electrical connections.

^ When fasteners are removed, always reinstall them at the same location from which they were removed. If a fastener needs to be replaced, use the correct part number fastener for that application. If the correct part number fastener is not available a fastener of equal size and strength (or stronger) may be used. The correct torque value must be used when installing fasteners that require it. If the above conditions are not followed, parts or system damage could result.
