Fluid Change

1. Raise vehicle, then remove drain plug and allow fluid to drain for at least 5 minutes.

2. If fluid screen is to be serviced, remove fluid pan bolts, fluid pan and gasket.

3. Remove fluid screen to valve body bolts, screen and gasket.

4. Thoroughly clean fluid screen and fluid pan with solvent.

5. Install fluid screen using a new gasket and torque attaching bolts to 13-15 ft lbs, then install fluid pan using a new gasket and torque attaching bolts to 7-10 ft lbs.

6. Add three quarts of fluid, then with engine idling and parking brake applied, move selector lever through each range and return selector lever to PARK.


7. Check fluid level and add fluid as required to bring level between the two dimples on the dipstick.
