INFORMATION ON TOWING A DEDICATED NATURAL GAS PICKUP

1992-93 C-1500/2500 DEDICATED NATURAL GAS PICKUPS

If it is necessary to tow a 1992-93 dedicated natural gas fullsize pickup, DO NOT tow from the rear using sling-type or wheel lift towing equipment. The exhaust layout on this vehicle does not allow for the proper attachment of sling type or wheel lift equipment and an improper attachment may cause frame damage and/or bumper damage.

The recommended method of towing a dedicated natural gas fullsize pickup is to use car-carrier type towing equipment. See section OA of the service manual for specific towing details. Use of this equipment will lessen the risk of damage caused by towing.
