Service Procedure

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Inspect the brake pedal pivot bolt (Figure 14, "17" BOLT on page 5A-14 of 1992 Sierra, Yukon, Suburban, Crew Cab, and 3500 HD Service Manual (X9231)).



2. If the threads of the brake pedal pivot bolt ARE protruding through the weld nut (Figure 14 "14" NUT on page 5A-14 of Service Manual X-9231), continue to step 3.

If the threads of the brake pedal pivot bolt ARE NOT protruding through the weld nut, torque the brake pedal pivot bolt to 47 N-m. (35 lbs.ft.). Adjust the stop lamp switch (Refer to "SWITCH ADJUSTMENT" on page 5A-13 of Service Manual X-9231).

3. Install "Campaign Identification Label."
