Fog/Driving Lamp: Description and Operation
FOG LAMPSVoltage is applied to the Fog Lamp Relay at all times through the ORN (40) wire and the PWR ACC circuit breaker. When the Fog Lamp switch is ON, voltage is applied to the coil of the Fog Lamp Relay through the PPL (34) wire. Ground for the coil is provided through the LT GRN (11) wire, the High Beam element of the LH Headlamp and the BLK (150) wire to ground G125. With the relay energized, voltage is provided to the indicator lamp and the Fog Lamps through the ORN (40) wire, the normally open contacts of the relay and the PPL/WHT (134) wires.
If the headlamps are on HIGH BEAM, voltage is applied to LT GRN (11) wire and the HIGH BEAM elements of the headlamps. This removes the ground for the Fog Lamp Relay and de-energizes the circuit.
FOG LAMPS WITH DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS
The Fog Lamps operate in the same manner except that the ground for the Fog Lamp Relay coil is provided through the Daytime Running Lamps Module and the DK GRN (911) wire.
