Oil Pump

1. Remove oil pump cover screws and oil pump cover from oil pump body.

2. Remove oil pump drive gear and driven gear from oil pump body.

3. Remove retainer from pickup tube.

4. Remove pickup tube and oil pump pickup from oil pump body.

5. Remove oil pump pickup from pickup tube.

6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Lubricate assembly with automatic transmission fluid.

b. Mainshaft must turn freely within oil pump. If binding occurs, remove cover, rotate gears, and reinstall cover.
