Without Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

Voltage is supplied to the Light Switch at all times. The Light Switch is protected by an internal Self-Resetting Circuit Breaker. If the Headlight circuit draws too much current, the circuit breaker opens, stopping the current flow to the headlights.

With the Light Switch in HEAD, current flows through the Headlight Dimmer Switch to the Headlights. The Headlight Dimmer Switch switches the current between the Low Beams and High Beams. With the High Beams on, current also flows to the High Beam Indicator in the instrument cluster.
