Models:
1993 S-TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 2.8L ENGINE (RPO LL2, VIN R)

General Motors has determined that CERTAIN 1993 S-Trucks equipped with 2.8L engines and air conditioning may have been produced with a water pump pulley that could fail. This could result in loss of accessory drive components including power steering assist. generator and water pump. The engine will continue to run. but the driver would be warned of the failure by one or more of the following conditions:

A. Likelihood of underhood noise at time of failure.
B. Generator light on or gage indicating discharge of battery.
C. Engine temperature light on or gage reading higher than normal engine temperature.
D. Loss of power steering assist.

To correct this condition. dealers are to replace the water pump pulley on all involved vehicles.
