Parts And Service Procedure

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Open Hood and install fender cover and disconnect negative battery cable. (Note the Radio setting.)
2. Remove the (2) two upper radiator shroud attachment bolts.
3. Remove the (4) four fan clutch assembly attachment nuts.
4. Remove accessory drive belt by rotating the belt tensioner.
5. Remove coolant pump pulley.
6. Install new coolant pump pulley.
7. Reinstall the fan clutch assembly and torque the (4) four attachment nuts to 24 Nm or 17 Ft Lbs.
8. Reinstall accessory drive belt.
9. Reinstall upper fan shroud and torque the (2) two attachment bolts to 10 Nm or 90 In. Lbs.
10. Connect battery.
11. Install the Campaign identification Label.

PARTS INFORMATION

NOTICE:
Each dealer involved will be preshipped at least one water pump pulley during the week of April 4. 1994.

Parts are to be obtained from General Motors Service Parts operation (GMSPO). To ensure parts are obtained as soon as possible. order them from GMSPO on a C.I.O. order with no special instruction code but order under an advise code (2).

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Dealers should submit a warranty claim on each vehicle completed under this campaign. Labor

CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL

Each vehicle corrected in accordance with the instructions outlined in this Product Campaign Bulletin will require a "Campaign identification Label." Each label provides a space to include the campaign number and five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or ball point pen.

Each "Campaign Identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for periodic servicing by the owner.

Apply "Campaign Identification Label" only on a clean, dry surface.
