With 4 Wheel Drive



1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Scribe hood hinge locations, then disconnect underhood light and remove hood.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Remove body mounts on utility vehicles. Loosen front and remove two body mounts on cab and chassis models.
5. Remove front air dam end bolts and raise body.
6. Remove top transmission-to-engine attaching bolts and lower body.
7. Remove remaining transmission to engine attaching bolts.
8. Remove second crossmember, then disconnect catalytic converter hanger.
9. Disconnect exhaust pipes from manifolds.
10. Disconnect front propeller shaft from front differential.
11. Remove torque converter cover bolts, then the cover.
12. Remove transmission cooler lines from engine clips.
13. Remove engine mount bolts.
14. Remove flexplate-to-torque converter attaching bolts.
15. Remove front splash shield.
16. Remove lower fan shroud bolts, then lower vehicle and drain cooling system.
17. Remove upper fan shroud and radiator hoses.
18. Remove oil filter pipe from remote oil filter.
19. Remove radiator, fan and air cleaner.
20. Remove A/C compressor and power steering pump, if equipped.
21. Disconnect necessary wiring, fuel lines, vacuum and emission hoses.
22. Disconnect throttle, cruise control and TV cables as equipped.
23. Disconnect engine wiring harness at bulkhead.
24. Remove heater hoses from engine, then support transmission.
25. Remove engine from vehicle.
26. Reverse procedure to install.
