Access Cover: Service and Repair
Remove or Disconnect1. Nuts (2).
2. Screws (1).
3. Wiring connectors (if applicable).
Instrument Panel Extension:
4. Instrument panel extension (3).
Heater Duct:
5. Heater duct (4).
6. Bolt (5) from bracket (6).
^ Loosen nut (7) and rotate bracket Out of the way.
7. Latches (8).
8. Screws (9).
NOTICE: Screws are not designed to come out of the engine cover itself, on the cowl. Use care when moving the cover. The screws extending from the engine cover could cause damage to the instrument panel or trim.

9. Engine cover (10).
Install or Connect
NOTICE: When fasteners are removed, always reinstall them at the same location from which they were removed. If a fastener needs to be replaced, use the correct part number for the application. If the correct part number is not available, a fastener of equal size and strength (or stronger) may be used. Fasteners that are not reused and those requiring thread locking compound will be called out. The correct torque value must be used when installing fasteners that require it. If the above conditions are not followed, parts or system damage could result.

^ Do not fully tighten.
3. Latches (8).
^ Tighten screws (9) fully.
^ Rotate bracket (6) into position.
4. Bolt (5).
5. Heater duct (4).
6. Instrument panel extension.
7. Wiring connectors (if applicable).
8. Screws (1).
9. Nuts (2).
