COURTESY, DOME and STEPWELL LAMPS

Voltage is supplied at all times from the HORN-DM Fuse to the Stepwell Courtesy Lamps, Dome Lamps and Reading Lamps. The Courtesy Lamps and Dome Lamps turn on when a ground path is provided by the Panel Dimmer Switch or one of the Door Jamb Switches.
Vehicles with the auxiliary lighting package have a switch mounted on the instrument panel which allows the Dome Lamps and Stepwell Lamps to be turned off when the doors are open.

ASHTRAY LAMP

With the Ignition Switch in START or RUN, voltage is supplied to the Ashtray Lamp through the GAGES Fuse. The Lamp turns on.

CIGARETTE LIGHTER

Voltage is supplied at all times through the HORN-DM Fuse to the Cigarette Lighter. The Cigarette Lighter contains its own Switch. The Switch closes when it is pushed in and opens when the element is hot.

I/P COMPARTMENT BOX LAMP

The I/P Compartment Box Lamp receives Battery voltage at all times through circuit 40 and the Battery feed circuit in the Fuse Block. The ashtray lamp has its own switch that closes whenever the I/P Compartment Box is opened, turning the lamp on.
