On 1993 models Disarm airbag as directed under Service Precautions ``Airbag System Disarming'' before attempting ignition lock replacement.

1. Remove turn signal switch as described under ``Turn Signal Switch, Replace.'' It is not necessary to completely remove the switch from the column. Pull it rearward just far enough to slip it over the shaft.
2. Turn lock cylinder to Run position and remove key warning buzzer switch, if equipped.
3. Remove retaining screw and the lock cylinder, Figs. 5 and 6.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Turn lock cylinder to Run position prior to installation. Arm airbag as directed in ``Airbag System Arming.''
