Front

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Unlock steering column, raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
3. Disconnect propeller shaft at front axle, then support out of way.
4. Remove vent hose.
5. Remove tube and shaft assembly as described under TUBE & SHAFT ASSEMBLY.
6. Remove carrier by sliding carrier assembly to right, dropping tube end and twisting carrier to clear mounting brackets, oil pan and steering linkage.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten nuts and bolts to specifications.
