- J 8001 Dial Indicator Set








1. Tighten the right sleeve to 140 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) using J 36599.
2. Tighten the adjuster plug to 140 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
- Use J 36615.
3. Mark the location of the adjusting sleeves in relation to the carrier halves, so the notches in the adjusting sleeves can be counted when fumed.
4. Turn the right sleeve OUT two notches.
5. Turn the adjuster plug in one notch.
6. Rotate the pinion several times to seat the bearings.
