Interior Lamps

Voltage from the HORN/DM Fuse is distributed among the various combinations of interior lamps. The lamps are turned on and off by connecting or disconnecting the circuit to ground. This is accomplished through the use of Door Jamb, Panel Dimmer and Light Switches.

Illuminated Left And Right Vanity Mirrors
Voltage for the illuminated vanity mirrors is supplied through the T/L CTSY Fuse which is hot at all times. When the mirror cover is opened the switch closes and the ground path is completed to the visor attaching screws. By moving the HI/LO selector switch on the mirror, the lamp intensity can be changed.

Inside Rearview Mirror Illuminated Entry Map Lamps With Delay And Compass
Voltage for the rearview mirror lamps is supplied from the T/L CTSY Fuse through the ORN (40) wire. Ground is provided by the door jamb switch through the WHT (156) wire and ground is also provided through the BLK (150) wire from ground G102. Voltage for the illuminated entry and delay portion of the system is supplied by the RADIO Fuse through the YEL (43) wire. The voltage and ground sources are connected to a solid-state timer device located with the mirror. The timer controls the lamps.
