Preliminary Checks

Before checking the daytime running lamps (DRL) system, do the following:
1. Place park brake in OFF position and ignition switch to RUN.
2. Verify condition of DRL a GAUGES Fuses. IF blown, locate and repair source of overload. Then replace fuse.
3. Place light switch in ON and headlamp dimmer switch in HIGH BEAM headlamp(s) are inoperative, refer to High Beam Lamp(S) Do Not Operate diagnostic procedure. High Beam Headlamps Are Inoperative
If HI BEAM headlamps operate, place light switch in OFF and use the Diagnosis (Refer to Diagnostic Charts). Diagnostic Charts
