System Bleeding
When refilling or bleeding system, use only new brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 specifications.1. Disconnect clutch master cylinder push rod at pedal, then remove actuator from clutch housing as described under "Actuator, Replace." Refer to Actuator/Replace.
2. Remove reservoir cap, then slowly depress actuator cylinder push rod to bottom of bore. While holding pushrod, fill reservoir with suitable fluid.
3. Release actuator push rod slowly, then hold actuator cylinder vertically with pushrod facing down.
4. Press push rod up into actuator cylinder repeatedly, with strokes of 0.2-0.4 inch. Hold pushrod and actuator assembly so that it is lower than master cylinder.
5. While cycling actuator push rod, watch reservoir for bubbles. When bubbles no longer appear, install actuator cylinder in clutch housing.
6. Fill reservoir with suitable fluid, then install cap. Connect clutch master cylinder push rod to pedal and verify correct operation.
