Dash Panel Service
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.Fig. 17 Radio Receiver Replacement.:
2. Disconnect radio receiver electrical connectors, then remove receiver screws and receiver, Fig. 17.
3. On models equipped with tape player, remove tape player screws, then pull tape player rearward and disconnect electrical connector.

4. Remove control head screws, then pull control head rearward and disconnect antenna and electrical connectors, Fig. 18.
5. Remove speaker grilles by prying upward, then remove screws attaching speaker to instrument panel.
6. Disconnect speaker electrical connector and remove speaker.
7. Remove instrument cluster bezel screws, then pull bezel away from cluster and remove headlamp switch screws.

8. Remove heater and A/C control screws, then pull assembly out from the instrument panel and disconnect electrical connectors, Fig. 19.

9. Remove steering column filler panel, Fig. 20.
10. Disconnect shift indicator cable from steering column, then remove retaining nuts from each side of steering column and lower column.

11. Loosen clips and bolts from left and right lower bracket mounted studs supporting instrument panel carrier, Fig. 21.
12. Remove both kick panels and defroster vent.
13. Remove five upper instrument panel screws and pull panel rearward.
14. Remove heater nozzle to panel screws, then disconnect any remaining electrical connectors and remove panel.
15. Reverse procedure to install.
