Clutch: Service and Repair

1. Remove transmission.
2. Remove secondary (slave) cylinder.
3. Remove inspection cover, then the clutch housing.
4. Remove spring, seat and clutch fork, then the ball stud.
5. Install clutch alignment tool No. J-5824-01, or equivalent. Look for X mark on flywheel and clutch cover. If no marks are present, scribe marks on flywheel and cover to aid assembly.
6. Loosen clutch to flywheel attaching bolts evenly one turn at a time until spring pressure is released.
7. Remove attaching bolts and clutch assembly.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
