FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS ADJUSTMENT

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove cap from hub/disc assembly.
3. Remove cotter pin.
4. Tighten adjusting nut, Fig. 8, to 12 lb ft, while turning wheel forward by hand. This will seat the bearing.
5. Back off adjusting nut one flat. If hole in spindle lines up with slot in nut, insert cotter pin. If hole and slot do not line up back nut off until hole and slot align. Do not back the nut off more than one additional flat.
