Section 6 - Revised Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 44 Chart and Wire Color

Models:
1994-95 Chevrolet and GMC C/K, G Models
with 6.5L Diesel Engine (VINs P, 5 - RPOs L49, L56)

This bulletin is being issued to revise the DTC 44 EGR Pulse Width Error diagnostic chart and the wiring schematic in the Driveability, Emissions and Electrical section of the 1994 and 1995 C/K Truck and G Van Service Manuals.

Please make the following revisions:

^ Update the diagnostic chart for DTC 44 (page 3-83) to include "Command EGR Solenoid "ON" and "OFF" as the last bulleted item in Step 2.

^ Update the wiring schematic for DTC 44 Pulse Width Error (page 3-82) to show a change in the wire color of CKT 971 from WHT to LT BLU.

^ Update the "YES" answer in Step 3 to read "Open in CKT 435" instead of CKT 971.
