Output Shaft Replacement

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove left drive axle.
3. Remove lower carrier mounting bolt. Carefully pry against lower carrier to provide clearance for output shaft removal.
4. Using slide hammer and adapter, remove output shaft from case.
5. Remove deflector and seal from output shaft.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate and install new seal using seal installer tool No. J36600 or equivalent.
b. Tighten bolts/nuts to specifications.
