Section 3B - Control Module Systems Revised Software Regarding P1106 MAP Sensor Circuit Intermittent High
Models:
1995 Chevrolet and GMC Truck S/T Models
with 4.3L Engine (VIN W - RPO L35)
This bulletin is being issued to inform dealerships and technicians of a software change regarding DTC P1106 MAP Sensor Circuit Intermittent High, on the 1995 S/T 4.3L (VIN W) VCM-A controlled pickup and utility vehicles. Technicians are instructed to treat DTC P1106 MAP as a legitimate DTC if:
^ Customer has a comment of an intermittent driveability problem
^ DTC 1106 is stored
^ No other DTC's are stored
If the above criteria are met, technicians are instructed to follow the diagnostic charts in the current service manual to repair the vehicles with DTC P1106. After repairs are completed, reprogram vehicle with latest available software contained on TECHLINE CD-ROM.
If the above criteria are not met, technicians should disregard DTC P1106 MAP Sensor Circuit Intermittent High.
This bulletin does not pertain to vehicles built after December 7, 1994.
