With Vehicle Control Module (VCM)

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor:

CAUTION: Care must be taken, when handling coolant sensor. Damage to coolant sensor will affect proper Operation of the fuel control system.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain cooling system below level of sensor.
3. Electrical connector releasing locking tab.
4. Coolant sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Sensor in engine.
2. Electrical connector.
3. Refill coolant system.
4. Negative battery cable.
