Some owners may experience a fluid leak at the converter housing. Starting November 4, 1995 (Julian Date 308) all units are built using a new bolt with teflon sealant added.

Cause

Case porosity.

Correction

During any procedure requiring a transmission removal, only apply liquid teflon sealant (or equivalent) to the converter housing bolt indicated in Figures 2 and 3. The remaining seven (7) bolts do not require sealant.
