LubricateSteering and Suspension
Lubricate the front suspension, ball joints, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage, parking brake cable guides, and brake pedal springs. Ball joints should not be lubricated unless their temperature is -12 degrees C (10 degrees F) or higher or they could be damaged.
Inspect
Radiator Cooling Fan
If your engine has a thermostatically controlled cooling fan, inspect hoses and ducts for proper hook-up. Be sure the valve works properly.
Fuel Tank
Inspect the fuel tank(s), cap and lines for damage or leaks. Inspect the fuel cap gasket for any damage. Replace parts as needed.
Fluid - Differential
Inspect rear axle fluid level and add fluid as needed. Inspect axle seals for leaking. If driving in dusty areas or towing a trailer, drain fluid and refill every 25 000 km (15,000 miles). More frequent lubrication may be required for heavy-duty or off-road use.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation
Evaporative Emissions System
Inspect all the fuel and vapor lines and the hoses for proper hook-up, routing and condition. Ensure that the purge valve works properly, if equipped. Replace the components as needed.
