Stop Lamps
When the brake pedal is depressed, the TCC/Stoplamp Switch contacts close to light the Stop Lamps. The TCC/Stoplamp Switch has voltage available at all time from STOP Fuse 1 through the ORN (140) wire. When the brake pedal is depressed and the switch contacts close, this voltage is made available on the WHT (17) wire. The WHT (17) wire distributes the voltage to the four Stop Lamp bulbs and to the Trailering Wiring Provision Connector C406, if provided. The WHT (17) wire also provides voltage to the Hazard Warning Switch and the Turn Signal Switch. This circuit is used for the Trailer Wiring Provision when single bulb turn/stop lamps are wired. The switch logic enables a single bulb on the DK GRN (19) or the YEL (18) wires to operate as a turn signal lamp even though the brake pedal is depressed. Both the Left Tail Lamp and the Right Tail Lamp contain single stop lamp bulbs as well as single parking lamp bulbs. Both bulbs in the Left Tail Lamp are grounded by the BLK (150) wire to Ground G400. Both bulbs in the Right Tail Lamp are grounded by the BLK (250) wire to Ground G401 The Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) has two Stop Lamp bulbs. The CHMSL bulbs are grounded by the BLK (150) wire to Ground G400.
