Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. CHECK condition of GAUGES Fuse 4. If Fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR cause of overload and REPLACE fuse.2. If any PCM Diagnostic Codes are set, refer to diagnosis.
3. If any ABS Diagnostic Codes are set, refer to Four Wheel Antilock Brake System. Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems
4. CHECK that Ground G103 is clean and tight.
5. For Diagnosis of Radio, refer to Radio/Stereo Systems. Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc
6. For Diagnosis of Instrument Cluster (Speedometer or Odometer), refer to Instrument Cluster. Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These Circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded and should be checked by monitoring for a Voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ CHECK for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (Refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures,"). Diagnostic Aids
