Troubleshooting Hints

1. CHECK condition of RADIO, Fuse (Fuse 17), RADIO BATT Fuse (Fuse 19), AUX PWR Fuse. If Fuse(s) is open, LOCATE and REPAIR source of overload. REPLACE Fuse(s).
2. Observe Instrument Panel Lamps. If inoperative, REPAIR before proceeding with Radio Lamp diagnosis.
3. If speed compensated volume feature is not operating properly, refer to diagnosis.
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ CHECK for proper installation of any aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (See Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
