Air Bag

CAUTION: This vehicle has a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Refer to the SIR Component and Wiring Location view in order to determine whether you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring. Failure to follow the CAUTIONS could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

CAUTION: Avoid breathing A/C Refrigerant R-134a and lubricant vapor or mist. Exposure may irritate eyes, nose, and throat. To remove R-134a from the A/C system, use service equipment certified to meet the requirements of SAE J2210 (R-134a recycling equipment). If accidental system discharge occurs, ventilate work area before resuming service. Additional health and safety information may be obtained from refrigerant and lubrication manufacturers.

CAUTION: For personal protection, goggles and gloves should be worn and a clean cloth wrapped around fittings, valves, and connections when doing work that includes opening the refrigerant system. If R-134a comes in contact with any part of the body severe frostbite and personal injury can result. The exposed area should be flushed immediately with cold water and prompt medical help should be obtained.
