Cruise Control System

The cruise control system associated with diesel engines is made up of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the electronic throttle system, the Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer (VSSB), the multifunction lever, and the brake release switch. The PCM receives commands from the multifunction lever. The PCM also receives vehicle speed information from the VSSB. Based on input commands and vehicle speed, the PCM sends information to the electronic throttle system to control vehicle speed.
