^ Tool Required:
- J 2222-C Wheel Bearing Nut Wrench






1. Adjusting nut.
- Tighten:
^ Adjusting nut to 68 Nm (50 lb ft) while turning the hub.
^ Back-off locknut and retighten to 41 to 54 Nm (30 to 40 lb ft) while hub is rotated.
^ Back-off nut 135 to 150°.
^ Final bearing adjustment is 0.025 to 0.25 mm (0.001 to 0.010 inch).
2. Lockwasher and outer locknut.
- Bend one ear of the lockwasher over inner nut 30° minimum.
- Bend one ear of the lockwasher over outer nut 60° minimum.
- Tighten nut to 88 Nm (65 lb ft).
