LubricateSteering and Suspension
Lubricate the front suspension (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). Lubricate kingpin bushings, steering linkage, transmission shift linkage, transfer case shift linkage, parking brake cable guides, rear driveline center splines, front axle propshaft splines and brake pedal springs. Kingpin bushings should not be lubricated unless their temperature is -12 degrees C (10 degrees F) or higher or they could be damaged.

Crankcase Pressure Regulator Valve
Check the crankcase depression regulator valve system for any worn, plugged or collapsed hoses.
Inspect
Radiator Cooling Fan Motor
If your engine has a thermostatically controlled cooling fan, inspect hoses and ducts for proper hook-up (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). Be sure the valve works properly.
Heat Shield, Exhaust
Inspect shields and underhood insulation For damage or looseness. Adjust or replace as required.
Drive Belt
Inspect the accessory drive belt for cracking, fraying, wear, improper tension. Adjust or replace as necessary.
Air Filter Element
Inspect the air cleaner filter if vehicle is driven in dusty conditions. Replace the filter if necessary.
Air Cleaner Housing
Inspect the air intake system installation to assure that gaskets are properly sealed and that all hose connections, fasteners and other components are tight. Also check to be sure that the air cleaner housing is properly seated and the cover fits tightly. Tighten connections and fasteners or replace damaged parts as necessary.
Replace
Oil Filter, Engine
Or every 3 months, whichever occurs first.
Fuel Filter

3500 HD models with applications requiring extreme overload/trailer towing conditions and high-speed (above 45 mph or 70 km/h) conditions for extended periods of time must have the drive axle fluid changed every 30,000 miles (50,000 km).

Clean/Repack
Wheel Bearing
Clean and repack the front wheel bearings (or at each brake relining whichever occurs first).
