Instrument Panel Assist Handle

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The instrument panel passenger knee bolster.
2. The Passenger Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (PSIR).
3. The bolts retaining the inflatable restraint filler panel to the instrument panel (if not equipped with PSIR).
4. The inflatable restraint filler panel from the instrument panel.
5. Press the release buttons on the instrument panel assist handle retainers and pull the instrument panel assist handle from the instrument panel.
6. The instrument panel assist handle from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The instrument panel assist handle to the vehicle.
2. Position the instrument panel assist handle into the retainers and push the instrument panel assist handle down to engage the retainers. Verify that the instrument panel assist handle locks in place.
3. The inflatable restraint filler panel to the instrument panel (if not equipped with PSIR).
4. The bolts to retain the inflatable restraint filler panel to the instrument panel.

TIGHTEN
^ The bolts to retain the inflatable restraint filler panel to the instrument panel carrier to 11 Nm (97 lb in).

5. The Passenger Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (PSIR).
6. The instrument panel passenger knee bolster.
