Generator Drive Pulley

If the generator drive pulley is found to be loose, it can normally be tightened without removing the generator from the vehicle.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The serpentine belt from the generator.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Offset box end wrench to the pulley nut.
2. Torque wrench with 1/4-inch hex drive to the hex hole in the end of the generator drive shaft to hold.
Tighten
^ The generator pulley nut to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
3. The serpentine belt to the generator.
