Troubleshooting Hints

1. For Headlamps check condition of LIGHTING Fuse. If the Fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR cause of overload and REPLACE Fuse.
2. For Daytime Running Lamps. check condition of DRL Fuse 15 and GAUGES Fuse 4. If either fuse is open, LOCATE and REPAIR cause of overload and REPLACE Fuse(s).
3. CHECK that Grounds G103, G108, G109, and G201 are clean and tight.
4. CHECK that headlamp filaments are not open.
5. CHECK that the Instrument Cluster's High Beam Indicator, DRL Indicator, and Brake Indicator filaments are not open.
6. CHECK that the Headlamp Switch internal 17A Circuit Breaker is not open. It will reset automatically after it cools down.
7. CHECK that the Daytime Running Lamp Relay is securely mounted in its socket.
^ CHECK for a broken (or partially broken wire inside the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove GOOD in a Continuity/Voltage check with a system disconnected. These Circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a Voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ CHECK for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other system (Refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures,"). Diagnostic Aids
