Preliminary Inspection

Before beginning diagnosis, make a visual inspection for the following and repair as needed:

^ Verify that the fuse is not blown.
^ Verify that the electrical system has no bare, broken, or disconnected wires.
^ Verify that the cruise control cable is not binding or misadjusted.
^ Verify that the stoplamp switch is not damaged or mispositioned.

If preliminary inspection reveals no problem, refer to "Functional Check".
