CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Record all preset and theft codes from the radio.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position.
3. Verify that all electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, underhood lamp ect.
4. The retaining bolt from the negative battery cable.
5. The negative battery cable from the battery.
^ Position the negative battery cable away from any body ground.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Verify that all electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, underhood lamp ect.
Clean
^ The negative battery cable from corrosion using a metal brush.
2. The negative battery cable to the battery.
3. The retaining bolt to the negative battery cable.
Tighten
^ The negative battery cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Reset the radio stations and clock.
