Battery Cable Installation:

Negative Battery Cable To The Engine:

CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The negative battery cable from the battery.
2. The negative ground lead to the inner fender panel.
3. The negative ground to the engine.
4. The negative cable from the vehicle.

Install or Connect
1. The negative cable to the vehicle.
2. The negative ground to the engine.
Tighten
^ The battery cable to ground to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. The negative ground lead to the inner fender panel.
Tighten
^ The ground lead to the inner panel to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. The negative battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
^ The negative battery cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
