Battery Tray (Front):

CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The negative cable from the negative battery terminal.
2. The positive cable from the positive battery terminal.
3. The battery limiter from the vehicle if equipped.
4. The battery hold down bolt and retainer.
5. The battery from the vehicle.
6. The battery tray bolts.
7. The hose from vacuum canister.
8. The battery tray from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The hose to vacuum canister.
2. The battery tray to the vehicle.
3. The battery tray bolts.
Tighten
^ The battery tray bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
4. The battery to the vehicle.
5. The hold-down retainer and bolt.
Tighten
^ The hold down retainer bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
6. The positive battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
^ The positive battery cable terminal to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
7. The negative battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
^ The negative battery cable terminal to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
8. The battery limiter to the vehicle if equipped.
