Battery Tray (Rear):

CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The negative battery cable.
2. The auxiliary positive and negative battery cables.
3. Support the battery tray with a jackstand or equivalent.
4. The bolts from the battery tray.
5. The battery tray from the vehicle.
6. The battery hold down retainer bolt.
7. The battery from the tray.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The battery to the tray.
2. The battery hold down retainer bolt.
Tighten
^ The hold down retainer bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
3. Support the battery tray with a jackstand or equivalent.
4. The battery tray to the vehicle.
5. The bolts to the battery tray.
Tighten
^ The bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. The auxiliary positive and negative battery cables.
Tighten
^ The auxiliary battery terminals to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
7. The front battery negative battery cable.
Tighten
^ The front battery negative battery cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
