Checking and Adding Fluid
NOTICE: When adding fluid or making a complete fluid change, always use the proper fluid. Failure to use the proper fluid will cause hose and seal damage and fluid leaks.1. Run the engine until the power steering fluid reaches normal operating temperature of about 80°C (170°F). When the temperature is met, shut the engine off.
2. Remove the reservoir cap and check the fluid level.
3. If the fluid level is low, add power steering fluid as specified, to the proper level and install the reservoir cap.
4. Bleed the steering system. Refer to "Bleeding the Power Steering System."
