Case Extension Assembly Installation

^ Tools Required:
- J 38869 Case Extension Seal Installer
- J 36850 TRANSJEL (TM)
- Or Equivalent





1. Install the prop shaft front slip yoke seal (20) with the J 38869. Apply J 36850 or equivalent to the spring pocket of the seal.





2. Install the O-ring seal (675) (some models).
3. Install the case extension seal (15) onto the case extension (19).
4. Install the case extension assembly (19) onto the transmission case.
5. Install the case extension bolts (21).
6. Tighten the bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
