Rear Oil Retainer Extension Housing

Bearing Replacement

- Tool Required:
- J 38807 Extension Housing Bearing Installer

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Extension oil seal. Refer to "Seal Replacement."
2. Extension housing bearing snap ring.
3. Bearing from the extension housing.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Bearing into the extension housing using J 38807.
2. Extension housing bearing snap ring.
3. Extension oil seal. Refer to "Seal Replacement."

Seal Replacement

- Tool Required:
- J 22834 Extension Housing Seal installer








REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Oil seal from the extension housing.
- Pry the seal out with a small pry bar or equivalent.
- Inspect the retainer for damage.







INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New seal into the extension housing using J 22834.
